A specific project activity will be also devoted to target the general consumers. The presence of Energy Labels in shops for TVs, being relatively recent, may be still little less common than the presence of labels for the "classic" white appliances (e.g. refrigerators, washing machines), partly because retailers may not know this label yet and partly due to the TVs market entry deadline. While the focus of the ComplianTV project is to make sure the energy consumption declared on labels is correct (from the market surveillance point of view), the consortium would like to take this opportunity to also improve the awareness of the retailers and general consumers about the need to properly display the TV Energy Labels and their meaning.

Except of the energy label and the product fiche, manufacturers have to provide a further specific information about their individual models, typically through their own websites.
